Swimming, if you have access to a pool with a lifeguard. It is one of the few exercises that works every muscle in your body. It is also extremely low impact, so the extra 100 lbs. your carrying right now won’t hurt your joints too much.
Rowing is also another exercise that is intense and works out many muscles in your body. However, it is very easy to do improperly, so unless you have a trainer around, just don’t do it. It’s just too easy to hurt yourself.
An aerobics class is one of the best things you can get involved in. It is difficult, but there are different class levels, so if your new, you won’t be alone. It also provides a social structure that is beneficial to many people when exercising. After all, exercise doesn’t always feel good, and having the emotional support of the people you work out with is always a big factor in sticking with any plan.
Always, always, always… Safety first! And good luck with your diet/exercise!

Anything aerobic that you can do for a long period of time. Walking is one… There is also no reason you can’t make it fun. Go on bike rides with your friends/family, go on a nature hike, etc…

Cool at least you started doing something. Start slow and build up. If I was you I would walk everyday and then when you feel you can, walk one day then the next walk and slow jog. To lose weight I would suggest exercise to the point when you can do ******** interval training 5 times a week for at least 30 minutes in duration. It’s gonna be hard but do you have the guts?

Congratulations on the weight loss! It’s also good that you understand that to keep the weight off you need both a healthy diet and exercise. Walking is a great hobby that almost anyone can do. Walking even 30 minutes a day can be very beneficial. However there maybe other exercises that you may be able to do to stay motivated and keep the weight off.
Try turning everyday activities into a fun exercise. For example, use the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible. This is a great way to build endurance. Or park further away from the entrance to the department store, etc. The extra walk will give you exercise.
If you have access to a gym ask for a fitness evaluation. The staff will teach you the proper use of the exercise equipment, and perform a calculation of your body fat percentage. This may help you to tune your dietary and exercise routine for greater benefit.
Many gyms have treadmills which can be programmed for different speed levels including slow, moderate, and fast walks and running, too. Many treadmills can also simulate uphill climbs. Tired of walking? Then you may consider the stationary bike! There maybe many fitness options available to you, the key is to find activities that are fun and to stick with them.
As long as you remain committed to any exercise program (which includes eating right and getting plenty of rest) you should see a change in physical appearance and an increase in energy and a brighter mood.
Please remember to consult with your health care professional before starting any new exercise/diet program.

Top exercise for weight loss
There is no doubt that you can lose weight without exercise. But with exercising you can speed up the process of weight loss. Exercise mainly help you lose weight in the following ways:
* Burn more calories while exercising
* If you exercise for longer hours, you will be able to burn calories at an high rate for an extended period after you have completed your weight loss session.
* If the exercise places a high enough load on your muscles, they will increase in size, and burn more Calories even when your body is at rest.
This method is an important aspect of weight loss as it makes you to burn more calories at all tiles. Muscle tissue is more “metabolically active” than body fat. With more muscle and less fat, your metabolic rate is naturally higher.
Muscular variation occurs most readily when the load placed on a muscle exceeds about 60% of its maximum contractile strength. This makes weight training one of your best exercise choices, and the most direct path to a sleeker, shapelier body.
