Now there are a few variations you can do when it comes to this recipe but not many. Lemons can be replaced with limes at a pinch and you can also add lime or lemon zest into the mix. If the pepper is too much for you to start with you can also start with a slightly smaller amount then add a bit more each tie until you get to the required amount. This should be consumed between 6 and 12 times a day along with as much water as you need for the minimum 10 days that is required to get a really good cleansing and detoxification.
There are a few things you should also be watchful of. Do not drink coffee, tea or cola during this period and also make sure the maple syrup is grade B not grade A as grade be is less refined and contains more nutrients that you will need.
