Fitting bad meals into my diet?
ivegotquestions asked:
I lost 30 pounds this past winter because I tend to eat extremely healthy all throughout the day balancing my meals and getting the right nutrition. I also ran about 2 miles, 4 days a week for a few months. Im a 6′1 25 year old male. I weigh 183 pounds now.
I lost 30 pounds this past winter because I tend to eat extremely healthy all throughout the day balancing my meals and getting the right nutrition. I also ran about 2 miles, 4 days a week for a few months. Im a 6′1 25 year old male. I weigh 183 pounds now.
But recently, when dinner comes around, most of the time I dont eat a healthy dinner and I go a little overboard. Indian, Chinese, Mexican, etc. are all mostly not healthy and thats what I tend to eat for dinner.
When it comes down to it, Im only taking in about 2500 calories at the most a day when I eat a bad dinner. Ive been doing this about 3 days a week for the past 3-4 months yet ive managed to maintain the same weight. Is this a bad thing im doing, or is it ok if I can fit the “bad” food into my diet?

If you can incorporate these “bad” dinners into an otherwise healthy diet, eating those high calorie counts without gaining weight, you should be okay.
Be aware that the most unhealthy aspect of these cuisines is the fat used in cooking and flavoring. Select dishes which use little oil, butter, cheese, lard, etc. and you can enjoy ethnic cuisine while protecting both your waistline and your heart. (With Chinese, avoid fried selections like Hunan chicken, and ask for any stir-fry to use as little oil as possible. Go for white rice, not fried, and steamed dishes over stir-fried. Since much Chinese food is prepared on the spot, they can probably accommodate you.)

to put it simple look at what your eating if it has mass amounts of sodium or anything like that id advise not eating it but if it doesnt and your still healthy then by all means go ahead
