when your on the atkins diet. Should you eat a lot of meals without carbs during the day. Or just 1 or 2 meals
chewydog62000 asked:
When on any other diet it is recomended that you eat 4-5 small meals a day. This is to keep your metabolism going constantly. But when on the atkins diet should you limit your meals to maybe 1-2 a day to eat up your stored carbohydrates? If anybody knows from experience I would welcome the feedback.

Before you play around with Atkins and ruin your health, check this:.
Why not try balanced low-fat food, you could eat your life long? This would keep you lean AND healthy. No Yo-Yo effect for sure.

When your on the first phase of atkins he tells you to consume 20 carbs per day(mostly made up of approved veggies) for the first two weeks to help kick start ketosis and wake up your metabolism…You should never limit yourself 1-2 meals on atkins or any other diet.. your supposed to eat enough of the right foods to satisfy yourself.. your supposed to include the approved veggies in your meals for part of your carb makeup… go to and also buy the book because you can’t just wing it..

During the initial phase of ketosis( usually around 14 days), you must drastically limit your carbohydrate consumption. 1-2 meals a day is pretty much what I did too. Usually, I had bacon and eggs for brekfast and lunch/dinner consisted of chicken ****** and veggies with butter. For more information on Atkins Diet check out this site:
