Is incorporating 2 slices of whole wheat bread per day into my meals bad for a diet?

I usually have a low fat sandwich for breakfast which includes one slice of whole wheat bread, avocado used as a spread to replace butter, 2 slices of pastromi or sometimes turkey cold cuts, some lettuce and other greens. Then for lunch I have a similar sandwich with one slice of bread, and I will just alternate the cold cuts and greens. In the evening I will usually have something more hardy like grains with steamed chicken and also 2 or 3 fruits throughout the day. I know that carbs are diet’s #1 worst enemy, but I also know that wholegrain carbs are better, though I don’t know if having 2 slices of bread in my diet jeaopardizing it. I would really appreciate some advice, thanks!
