Oh yes there is a way to find out. Measure the pathogens in the cow’s manure. If you get fresh milk, you can talk to the farm where the milk came from and ask wat type of diet the cows get and how many pathogens there are in the cow’s manure. A cow with a healthy diet has low to no pathogens in the manure. The other healthy benefits far outweigh the contamination, imo. Ever hear of the immune system?

As a consumer, shouldn’t we buy pasteurized milk then… since there is really no way to find out which cow has the bacteria and which doesn’t. That would be the safest bet right?

i agree, my father worked on a farm when he was younger, he said he drank fresh fresh milk all the time, my father grew up and he is a strong man, from where i sit unpasteurized milk didnt do him any wrong

I hope you did some more research on Milk. I have a video favorited called the WHole Truth About Milk. The reason they pasturize milk is because there were pathegens coming from the manure of the cow. These pathegens comes from the diet of the cow, but Americans stupidly thought, so as not to be sued, to kill the harmful bactera. What this does though is kill all the helpful bacteria in the milk. WHen the bacteria is dead, the body can not recognize or process it.

Lorax, Your common-sense wisdom shines in every video produced. I “woke up” (self-realized) recently. No more TV, meat, weed, alcohol or sexual perversions. No “addiction” to foods anymore, period. I’m just not interested. Weight is FALLING off of me. I don’t exercise but I DO walk more because I find it reflective and peaceful. I ENJOY salads now (imagine that!). If people want a change they need to “wake up”. I encourage everyone to investigate Byron Katie, Adyashanti and, of course, THE LORAX

haha. The class didn’t say anything about pasteurizing ****** milk, but it says not to ****** feed if you are diabetic or consume lots of alcohol. The reason milk and other juices should be pasteurize because of some food borne bacteria that could cause food poisoning and even death. Just be careful, but you seem like you know what you are doing. Others who don’t should just get it pasteurized because they really don’t know where the product has been and how it was produce.

did health class say that you need to pasteurize ****** milk? I just don’t buy it. I’ve looked deeply into the subject already and have decided there is no reason I’d ever pasteurize milk- particularly if I know the cows who are giving the milk.

I learned in health class that it was very dangerous to drink unpasteurized milk, and that you should never drink unpasteurized milk, but I forgot the reason. You might want to look into it. I don’t think my teacher and text book was wrong.

pasteurization kills the enzymes and ruins the proteins in milk. it then becomes the perfect environment for any pathogen to grow in. Raw the enzymes actually kill pathogens. I drink my milk raw and fresh.

yeah garbage is cheap. SO WHAT!? If i were to set up a shop and say “Really cheap garbage” come on over it’s just 1.99$ compared with the 4.99 for some food.” what would you do? People get your priorities straight. it’s not just garbage- it’s poison!

here in hawaii the raw cow’s milk is up to 20 bucks a gallon.(it’s also illegal i believe) what is good is sought after and becomes high priced. I have some cows- I don’t sell any milk- it’s way too precious.

If the milk is likely to be contaminated, then everyone agrees it is best to pasteurize. Raw milk must be handled and animals monitored much more carefully. Alternately, native cultures make yogurt to kill pathogens. The advantages of raw milk/yogurt are similar to the advantages of other raw food – numerous and often unstudied due to the lack of profitability.

Africans eat palm oil daily and still managed to be healthy without even visiting the doctor. I guess most of them walk a lot, and all their meals are natural.

Mmmm…question about the last suggestion–eat traditional food of your ancestors–what if your ancestors come from various parts of the world? Which you you choose? How do you mix them? More and more people these days have mixed ancestry.

The reason why there is obesity is because unhealthy food is cheap and fast. People in america cant afford to go and buy all the organic foods because its pricey it’s easier to go buy a jr whopper, fries and a coke for all together $3 and get it in 3 minutes than go to the store and buy organic products bring it back to your house and wait 3 hours for it to be done. Society is fast now and cheap I think in order to help there needs to be a change in the fast food industry.

of course there are many many many things we just dont need in our bodies to survive!!
i LOVE natural foods!!
Ghee, pasteurization is nt necessarily necessary, but it does help since most milk is produced in large qualities. Here is Guernsey we have the best milk in the world and the whole-fat milk even has cream floating on top.the “skim milk” is so good, someone who has never tasted it would think it is whole milk. never neglect your health.
